No Nintendo console has lasted as long as the Switch without a successor

This week, Nintendo's latest console has reached a pretty symbolic milestone. No console by the Japanese company has lasted so long without a replacement.
2,687 days have passed since the Switch's launch on March 3, 2017. It's safe to asume that if the next console doesn't come until March 2025, the Switch will surpass the 2,900 days mark.
The previous record was that ot the NES (July 15, 1983) and its 2,686 days of existence before the coming of the SNES on November 21, 1990.
