Riot Games has reportedly cancelled a Smash Bros-like last May

As we all know, many games end up cancelled among the way. This is what seems to have happened to a certain project from Riot Games.
According to Mikhail Klimentov, we're talking about a Smash Bros-like set in the League of Legends universe. Between 70 and 80 devs were working on the game, and it was cancelled last May.
The project was codenamed Pool Party, and the company wanted it to become an e-sport. The atmosphere of the title was to be relaxed and fun, but the apparent failure of MultiVersus prompted Riot to cancel the project.
