Here are the latest figures for the video game market in the United States for the month of May 2024, thanks to the Circana research institute.
It's fair to say that Sony stole the show. This was particularly the case with Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC, which topped the sales charts beating Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Helldivers 2 and MLB: The Show 24 in that order.
That's not the only good news for the Japanese company, as PS5 was number one in terms of console sales and after 43 months on the market, the console finally overtook the PS4 by an 8%. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series sold a 13% less than the Xbox One over a similar period.
Finally, the PlayStation Portal was the best-selling gaming peripheral in the United States last May.
