The development of the next Hitman game has been put on hold

It will probably be a few years before Agent 47's next contracts. In an interview with Eurogamer, Christian Elverdam, co-owner of IO Interactive, stated that the production of the next big Hitman game has been suspended.
"It's a bit on hold because we're envisioning the epic journey of another agent that's taking up a lot of our time. But it's obvious that we'll return to our beloved Agent 47."
Indeed, the Danish studio is currently focused on a James Bond game (Project 007).
