MSI improves its customer support with firmware updates for the QD-OLED monitors
, by Quentin
In response to user feedback, MSI has just announced firmware updates for the MAG 321UPX QD-OLED and MAG 271QPX QD-OLED monitors. This initiative marks a change in MSI's approach to improving customer support and product functionality, and the company is committed to ensuring that all future MAG QD-OLED monitors have firmware upgrade capabilities.
Previously, MSI had marketed 27-inch WQHD and 32-inch UHD QD-OLED monitors without a USB Type-B port for MAG models, making firmware updates impossible. MSI explained that this omission was aimed at reducing costs for consumers, in the belief that firmware updates were not that important for the target audience.
However, following such a strong demand, MSI has changed its mind and incorporated this feature for the models concerned. Firmware versions FW.012 or higher for MAG 271QPX QD-OLED and FW.015 or higher for MAG 321UPX QD-OLED now support updates.
