This Wednesday, the Japanese company's two new CEOs held a small meeting to discuss the company's business and commercial strategies.
During the presentation, Hideaki Nishino announced that the PS5 generation is Sony's most profitable to date. Still, the PS4 remains half of the Japanese firm's monthly console users, which represents some 49 million users. Despite this, there is a higher level of engagement among PS5 users.
For example, PS5 users spend more than PS4 users on additional content (+176%), services (+57%) and peripherals (+34%). Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 does better in terms of sales of full games (+12%) than the PlayStation 5.
