Samsung announces shipment of over one million QD-OLED panels

Samsung is great when it comes to displays, thanks in particular to its QD-OLED panels, a success both technologically and financially. The company has announced that it has shipped over a million of these panels worldwide already, a milestone achieved just a year and a half after their launch.
OMDIA, a highly reputed research firm, predicts that the OLED panel market will grow by a further 12.3% until 2029, reaching $1.03 billion. This would then represent 10% of the entire display panel market. Samsung currently ranks first, with a 79.7% share in the fourth quarter of 2023.
