Embracer isn't happy with Alone in the Dark sales

Barely a month after the release of the new Alone in the Dark, the Pieces Interactive studio was hit by some redundancies. Although we got no reason as of why then, we could infer that sales of the game weren't that great.

This has been confirmed by Embracer Group when announcing the company's latest financial results. We learn that the game had a "softer-than-expected performance", despite "positive reception from users".

It was the same for Outcast: A New Beginning, which didn't sell that good either and was poorly received by critics.
