According to Digital Foundry, the next PlayStation and Xbox consoles won't come with double the RAM of current ones

Digital Foundry's Richard Leadbetter has a few thoughts on the next generation of PlayStation and Xbox.
According to him, they won't come with double the RAM of the current ones, as has been usually the case since now. Instead, manufacters are going for software solutions to improve performace, such as upscalers.
In addition, he points out that given that the cost of memory isn't going down anytime soon, it wouldn't be economically viable either.
In any case, only Microsoft and Sony have the answer. We'll have to wait and see.
