Steam has been banned on Steam
, by Thibaut
Vietnam has banned Steam without even a single heads up. The country's ISPs are now blocking both the app and the web page. Of course, there has been no warning on this.
According to some early reports, local video game devs have complained that the American company's store catalog is too extensive, and that their games have no chance againts the Steam versions because of the necessary government approval.
Faced with this "injustice to domestic publishers", who point to their possible disappearance should Steam continue its activities, the authorities have gone and block the platform.
