NVIDIA could start producing next-gen R100 GPUs in Q4 2025
, by Quentin
It appears NVIDIA is working on new advances in its AI tech with the introduction of a new R-series chip, better known as the R100.
Scheduled for mass production in the fourth quarter of 2025, it would be a strategic advance in both processing power and energy efficiency.
Known under the code name Rubin, this architecture is expected to address power consumption issues in high-performance computing.
But that's not all. It is to feature larger, more powerful chipsets, better bandwith, and integrate eight HBM4 stacks and state-of-the-art memory solution offering plenty of improvements.
The AI race seems to be well underway, and NVIDIA seems intent on being the market leader.
