The ASUS ROG Ally has been announced but without any technical specs

As promised, Asus has announced its newest handheld console. This is not the ROG Ally 2 we're talking about, but the ROG Ally X, a new model iteration for the one released in June 2023.

This is launching in the second half of 2024. it will come with the same AMD Z1 Extreme processor and the same 7-inch screen with a 48-120 Hz VRR refresh rate.

But what about the changes? Well, it's now black and has an improved battery life. According to the company, it will last over 40% longer. The ROG Ally X will come with more than 12 GB of RAM. However, the manufacturer has chosen to not reveal the exact specs of the console just yet. Nevertheless, it comes with a larger M.2 2280 SSD slot.

Added to this is the fact that the Ally X will be easier to repair thanks to redesigned, easily interchangeable joysticks. The machine will be heavier thanks to a larger battery and reworked handles. Some changes have also been made to the D-pad and triggers.

Finally, Asus plans to sell the ROG Ally X at a higher price than the current one.
