Reliable leaker Kopite7kimi has stated on X.com that NVIDIA's RTX 5080 will be out before the RTX 5090.
Up until now, all the rumors pointed to a release date of the RTX 5090 for this year, but Kopite himself has denied it.
As for what's up with the RTX 5080, it should come with the ssuccessor to the AD103 GPU, the GB203, and offer up to 96 SM and potentially 12,288 CUDA cores.
It's important to remember that information on this new generation based on Blackwell architecture is still very limited. As such, it's better to take it with a grain of salt and wait for an official announcement from NVIDIA.
