, by Quentin
Valve has just released its latest Proton update, version 9.0. This comes with better support for NVIDIA GPUs and processors with a large number of cores.
A number of games will benefit from this new version, ensuring better performance. These include Far Cry 4 and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition.
Some games used to limit the number of cores used with certain high-end processors. This is no longer the case, what with the update removing these restrictions. Some improvements have also been made to NVIDIA GPUs, which now get better performance.
