Despite coming back full force in 2023, the BlizzCon will be taking a gap year. In a press release, Blizzard has made it official that it annual event won't take place this 2024.
While the company has attempted to explain it, the true nature of this decision remains unclear.
"This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it. While we’re approaching this year differently and as we have explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we are just as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in future years."
Instead, Blizzard is looking forward to seeing its community at other events such as Gamescom and the Overwatch Champions Series. The company is also holding various physical events to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft.
