2K incurs the wrath of the WWE 2K24 community after banning content creator
, by Thibaut
Wrestling is an ever-changing sport! So much so ,that even though WWE 2K24 has just come out, it's already outdated, be it in terms of prizes to be won or fighters. To get an updated roster, you either have to wait for DLC or even a new game. So is the case that some are taking it upon themselves to bring the missing content to the game.
This is the case with WhatsTheStatus, who has uploaded dozens of creations for free in WWE 2K24... But 2K has deleted it all and banned him.
The publisher claimed that WhatsTheStatus had created some elements that didn't abide by the game's terms of use, and that all this was done to ensure "a positive experience for all players". However, the main interested party formally denies these accusations, and 2K has not provided any tangible proof either.
The community was quick to seize on the subject, complaining about the company's behavior in not issuing a single warning before proceeding with the final ban, which is normally the case.
However, thanks to WhatsTheStatus' creations, players were able to organize mixed matches (that is, between a man and a woman). The base game doesn't allow it, and it's very rare in WWE. This may very well be the motive, but it's only speculation for the moment.
