The Switch 2 could use 5th-generation V-NAND from Samsung
, by Quentin
The rumor comes from content creator Doctre81, who, in a recent YouTube video, shared his latest findings regarding the Switch 2.
Indeed, by consulting the LinkedIn profile of a former director of the Samsung Electronics Device Solution division, who worked for the company until 2019, he was able to get his hands on some interesting information.
This former company member claims to have worked on the development of a NAND Flash device for Nintendo. He also mentions the creation of a Secure eMMC card powered by 5th generation V-NAND, which could also be destined for Nintendo.
Although this technology is now dated, given that Samsung is already working on 10th generation V-NAND, the performance offered by 5th generation could be more than sufficient for the Japanese firm, given that it is capable of speeds of up to 1.4 GB/s.
