Stardew Valley includes new mining and fishing features with patch 1.6.4
, by Thibaut
Last March, Eric Barone launched the eagerly-awaited 1.6 update for Stardew Valley. The game's creator didn't stop there, however, as a new patch packed with new features is out this week for the PC version of the title.
Version 1.6.4 includes 20 additional mine layouts that can appear after reaching the bottom of the mine. Added to this are 20 more layouts, this time for volcanic mines, which can only appear after discovering the shortcut between the caldera and the volcano entrance.
As for fishing, we've got fish frenzies now. There's a special cinematic after helping neighbors, four new fairy styles and the possibility of placing eight additional objects other than fish in an aquarium.
Finally, mystery boxes can be exchanged at the Raccoon store, and vinegar can be poured on trees to prevent moss. Other bugs have also been corrected.
