Nintendo is skipping Gamescom 2024

Expected to announce its next console soon, Nintendo has opted not to attend the (now) world's biggest video game show. The Japanese giant has confirmed that it won't be at Gamescom 2024.
A spokeperson for the Japanese firm made the news official in a press release.
"For Nintendo, Gamescom is a central event in the calendar of events. This year, however, after carefully weighing the pros and cons, we have decided not to go to Cologne. Fans will get to try out Nintendo Switch games at other events throughout Germany."
Nintendo won't be there, so don't expect any Switch 2 info at the German trade show, which takes place from August 21 to 25, 2024.
