Sony could no longer be involved in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake

It was in September 2021, during its annual PlayStation Showcase, that Sony announced Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. At the time, the game was being developed by Aspyr Media, but the project fell behind, and the game was entrusted to Saber Interactive.

Saber has gone independent, leaving Embracer Group, but the long-awaited remake is still in the hands of the American studio. The latter has even reassured fans that development is going well.

In any case, insider Jeff Grubb recently stated that Sony is no longer linked to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, so what was at first a PS5 and PC exclusive could end up coming to Xbox Series.
