Atari has bought the rights to RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 for $7 million
, by Thibaut
American publisher Atari has decided to buy back the rights to Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, the famous theme park simulator launched back in 2004 by Frontier Developments.
The transaction, worth around $7 million, turns Atari into the publisher of all the major entries in the franchise. The brand states that this takeover will create "new opportunities" for Atari and "benefits to the fans of games across the Rollercoaster Tycoon franchise".
This could mean some announcements as RollerCoaster Tycoon celebrates its 25th anniversary this very year.
