The PS5 Pro could allow devs to enhance their games easily and without spending much
, by Quentin
In his latest podcast, insider Moore's Law is Dead stated that the PS5 Pro couldn't possibly be much more powerful than the base model.
According to him, developers need time to adapt to new hardware, and games currently in development have already been budgeted for. It could be difficult for teams to adapt their projects to such higher specifications.
He adds that Sony is mainly discussing the PlayStation 6 with devs, as games should already be in development for the next gen console. The PlayStation 5 Pro could only serve to be an even simpler tool for industry professionals.
It would also allow improvements to be made at lower cost, thanks in particular to the in-house upscaler, the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, a technology that seems to be much easier to understand than AMD's FSR.
