April gets off to a peaceful start with a rather quiet week in term of releases. However, there are some interesting games to discover across all platforms, so maybe you'll find something that picks your interest.
Withering Rooms
- April 2, 2024 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
After launching on PC in October 2022, this 2.5D horror title lands on current gen consoles. The game takes place in a procedurally-generated mansion filled to the brim with plenty of terrifying monsters.
Planetiles

This city sim takes us to imagine not only a bustling metropolis, but a whole planet! We'll have to grow it over the course of plenty of misions. Of course, beware of natural disasters and other threats. You can combine different biomes, cultivate land and even choose from three different planet sizes.
Turbo Golf Racing
- April 4, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (early access release)
Turbo Golf Racing is sure to remember you of Rocket League. In it, you'll have to pilot remote control cars and hit giant golf balls. There's some skills to make each match more interesting, and plenty of game modes (time trial, 1v1...) to enjoy.
Freedom Planet 2

Let's keep pressing on with an ultra-fast platformer featuring some cartoon-like art direction. There's four playable characters to choose from, a colorful world populated by a hundred or so NPCs and an original combat system based on parries.

Here comes some VR goodness in this classic game featuring a number of pretty well-known sports such as squash, tennis and paddle. You can enjoy the game solo or some coop with friends. Get ready to master the game's physics if you want to win.

Now here's a game that mix both metroidvania and some FronSoftware Souls goodness. We battle all kinds of monsters while traversing some gloomy 2D settings, all with the aim to rebuild the city of a fallen civilization by completing tasks given by all kinds of characters.
Sons of Valhalla

We end on a high note with a Viking game in which we must build a fortress before going to war. In addition to the building elements of the game, there will be plenty of tactical battles. Of course, the game is set in a impressive world focusing on Viking culture.
