These are the technical requirements for a game to be considered PS5 Pro enhanced
, by Thibaut
Insider Gaming is back with more info about the long-awaited PS5 Pro. This time, it's the technical specs of the games that are on the spotlight.
When the PS5 Pro launched back in 2016, Sony introduced a label on the back of the boxes of the games that earned it reading "PS4 Pro Enhanced", and it seems this is back with the PS5 Pro. Those devs wishing to earn the label for their games have to set up one of these things:
- Presence of PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling) capable of increasing resolution up to 4K.
- Locked 60 FPS
- Enhanced ray tracing
So, yeah, Insider Gaming states that the games must including one of the enhancements, be it a better definition that of the base PS5, a better framerate and more/better ray tracing.
According to a document, Sony believes that all this will be made possible thanks to a 28% faster RAM and a 67% more powerful GPU compared to that of the base model. Overall., the Japanese company estimates that the future console will be 45% faster than the current PS5.
