Capcom apologizes on Steam for bugs but not for microtransactions
, by Thibaut
Althought it seems to have been a commercial success, Dragon's Dogma 2 is not without criticism, at least on PC. This is due to a number of bugs that plague this version and a questionable pricing policy.
In a message posted on Valve's store, Capcom has apologized, promising to correct the bugs and the crashes. In addition, there will son be an option to start a new game added. Performance will be improved, and it seems framerate drops are being caused by too many characters on screen.
As for microtransactions, the publisher simply reminded us that some of its DLC can be obtained by playing the game. Whether it's to resurrect a deceased companion, escape from prison or edit your avatar's appearance. Yes, Capcom is offering microtransactions for basic items such as fast travel, custom sounds and camp sets, and these can go for up to €4.99 each.
Needless to say, the practice is far from being accepted by all players, especially when it concerns a single-player game sold at full price, but it seems Capcom doesn't want to change its commercial strategy.
