Assassin's Creed Codename Red will feature more gore, a better game engine and much more
, by Thibaut
We're once again looking to the future of the Assassin's Creed franchise with a new article published by Insider Gaming. It presents a number of new elements and evolutions that will feature in Ubisoft's next game.
Let's start with the engine, which will be called "Anvil Pipeline" and will allow for the various development teams to work on a unified branch. As a result, we can expect not only better rendered animations, but also a redesigned parkour system, dynamic weather and much more. Virtualized geometry and ray tracing with a global illumination system are also planned.
As for combat, it would appear to be much more reactive and bloody, with decapitations in particular. Infiltration would make a comeback, and our character could, for example, extinguish torches, hide in bushes or go prone at any moment.
Finally, as in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, players of Codename Red should be able to build their own camps. This will include a dojo, an armory and many other buildings. All will be customizable, from the roof to the interior.
