Toys for Bob (Spyro, Crash Bandicoot) leaves Activision and becomes independent

Here's another surprising announcement from the video game industry. Toys for Bob, the studio behind the latest Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games, is to become independent. The U.S.-based company is parting ways with its parent company Activision.

In a press release, Toys for Bob states that it intends to work in partnership with Microsoft for its future game. It should be noted that the studio is not retaining the Spyro and Crash franchises, so their project could be based on an original license. Development has only just begun.
