A new rumor suggests that the Switch 2 could feature an 800 MB/s microSD card

It would seem that Samsung, with its announcement of a new range of microSD cards, has unwittingly fanned the flames of Switch 2 speculation.

Indeed, it's with the announcement of 256GB and even 1TB microSD cards that will be available later this year with a transfer speed of 800MB/s.

Here's what the company says:

"For the first time in the industry, Samsung has introduced a new high-performance microSD card based on the SD Express interface. The development was the result of a successful collaboration with a customer to create a custom product."

Many assumed that this famous customer was Nintendo, seeking the ideal technology for its Switch 2. Of course, neither company has confirmed this speculation, which really should be taken with a grain of salt.
