The rumor has been short-lived, as the release of Dragon Ball FighterZ on current consoles has been confirmed. The game will get a native version on PS5 and Xbox Series as of this very Thursday, February 29.
Owners of the game on PS4 or Xbox One will be able to get this upgrade free of charge. In addition to improved graphics, the title will feature an all-new story centered on a new character named Android 21. Three-on-three team battles and a host of connected features (ranked matches, interactive lobby, etc.) will also be included.
