NieR 3 may have been teased during a concert

The director of the NieR franchise, Yoko Taro, made a surprise appearance on stage at a concert dedicated to the saga. During the event, held earlier this month, a possible third entry may have been subtly hinted at.

First of all, Taro asked the fans in the room to voice their desire to see a NieR 3 announced. What's more, the president of Square Enix was on hand. According to one person who was at the concert, the applause and shouts were massive.

Afterwards, a word was repeatedly broadcast on the screens. It was "REPENT", which was also used for some of the dialogue. At the very end, the word was even spelled "REP3NT". Many suggest that the next NieR will opt for this subtitle.
