Two years after taking up his post, the "new" man in charge of the Battlefield IP leaves EA

Following the difficult launch of Battlefield 2042 in 2021, Electronic Arts restructured the teams in charge of the franchise. A new studio, Ridgeline Games, was set up in Seattle, with the aim to inject more narrative elements into future games.

To carry out this task, EA called on Marcus Lehto, who held the position of game director on the Battlefield saga. Alas, just over two years after his arrival, Lehto has already left the company. It remains to be seen whether this departure will have an impact on the future of the license.
