Assassin's Creed Mirage will pay tribute to the first installment of the saga

In 2023, Ubisoft has chosen to shake up the schedule of its flagship franchise. The next Assassin's Creed will be a more "condensed" episode that will set aside all the RPG elements introduced with Origins. In a recent statement, the title's creative director presented Mirage as "a love letter" to the very first Assassin's Creed released in 2007. The game will focus on stealth gameplay while emphasizing the story that will narrate the evolution of Basim in the city of Baghdad in the 9th century. It will be a standalone episode intended for longtime fans.
