PlayStation Portal has already been hacked

Last November, Sony launched its PlayStation Portal, a device that lets you play PS5 games remotely. This device does not offer cloud gaming or native games.

Despite this, the PlayStation Portal has enjoyed a small amount of commercial success, as stock-outs have been relatively frequent. Today we learn that the Portal has finally been hacked.

The PPSSPP emulator, which is capable of running PSP games in high definition, now works on PlayStation Portal. However, no official release of the emulator is currently planned. Indeed, its creator states that there is still a lot of work to be done before it is fully operational.
