Capcom to update its pricing policy to $70 starting with Dragon's Dogma 2
, by Thibaut
Last November, we learned that Dragon's Dogma 2 would be the first game published by Capcom to be sold for $70. Unfortunately, this price has become commonplace, and the Japanese publisher could apply it to several of its other productions.
During the announcement of its financial results for the previous quarter, Capcom justified this pricing choice, pointing to ever-increasing production costs, and believes that a price revision is in vogue for its games.
However, Capcom also says it wants to keep player feedback in mind. We can expect blockbusters such as Monster Hunter Wilds, which are very expensive to produce, to be sold at this "new" price.
