Embracer says it has cancelled 29 unannounced games in the second half of 2023

Embracer Group's sad record continues with ever more impressive figures. After almost 1,400 redundancies since June 2023, the Swedish company is now talking about its projects that have been abandoned along the way.
We learn that 29 unannounced games were cancelled by Embracer between July and December 2023. Last June, 153 unannounced titles were in production at the company's studios. This figure dropped to 138 in the second fiscal quarter, and then to 124 in the third quarter ending December 31, 2023.
A total of 132 games (announced and unannounced) are in development, and 50 external studios are working with Embracer.
