SEGA posts poor financial results due to recent releases

SEGA is not in high spirits. The Japanese publisher made some less than cheerful statements during the announcement of its financial results for the last quarter.

SEGA posted sales of 219.3 million yen, up 4.2% year-on-year. This increase should be put into perspective, as it is the result of the Rovio acquisition. Unfortunately, revenues fell sharply by 52.5% to 19.7 million yen.

The company points to poor sales of its most recent games. These include Persona 5 Tactica, Sonic Superstars, Total War: Pharaoh and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Sales figures for these titles were not disclosed.
