A Nintendo Direct is due to take place in February, but it will be a "Mini"

Rumors about the more or less imminent new Nintendo Direct are multiplying. Now, insider Nate the Hate has shared some important details during his podcast.

It turns out that this event would really just a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. This shorter format focuses solely on games in development for the Switch by third-party studios, so don't expect to see a Mario, a Zelda or any other major license created by the Japanese manufacturer.

This event could also serve as a waiting program of sorts before Nintendo announces a new console.
