Despite rumors and other fan deductions, Jim Carrey will reprise his role as Dr. Robotnik in the upcoming feature film Sonic. The news was confirmed by Variety this weekend.
Although the character appeared to have suffered a fatal fall at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the post-generic scene revealed that the scientist's body had not been found. He will be back in the sequel.
The two Sonic films took in $870.8 million at the box office worldwide.
