Spec Ops: The Line director says he is "devastated" by the game's withdrawal from sale

Earlier this week, 2K Games confirmed that Spec Ops: The Line will no longer be up on online stores. The reason for this is that the game's licenses have recently expired.

Cory Davis, the game's director, reacted to this information on X.com. In a short message, he said it was "devastating personally" and also indicated that "this is not the end for Spec Ops: The Line". It's hard to see a solution, however, as only 2K Games has the power to put the title back on sale.

Also on social networks, Enrique Colinet, the chief designer who worked on the game, says he feels "betrayed". He regrets that the publisher is "getting rid of the game that is incredibly necessary nowadays to experience how fucked up war can be."
