Many retailers in Europe stop stocking Xbox games in physical format

On the Games Industry Microcast, Games Industry employee Christopher Dring made some statements about Microsoft, suggesting that many retailers have stopped stocking Xbox games in physical format due to sales being deemed too low.
Christopher Dring goes on to explain that, at present, Xbox is so digitally oriented that physical sales performance is being affected, becoming too fragile for retailers to pursue this path.
The industry seems to have been in a state of flux for several years now, and Xbox is sending out a number of signals suggesting that the era of the physical medium is gradually dying out in favor of digital.
