Before Suicide Squad, Rocksteady was working on an original multiplayer title

Bloomberg provides some interesting behind-the-scenes details from Rocksteady Studios. Just after the launch of Batman Arkham Knight, the British firm embarked on two separate projects.

On the one hand, there was Batman Arkham VR and, on the other, a multiplayer game that wasn't known until now. This was a multiplayer title based on a completely new license. For its part, Warner Bros. Games Montreal was working on a Suicide Squad game that was cancelled at the end of 2016.

Shortly after this cancellation, Warner offered the license to Rocksteady. The famous multiplayer title, meanwhile, was abandoned. Finally, although rumors were insistent on the subject, it seems no Superman project was in production at the English studio.
