New "Limited Matchmaking" conditions raise concerns among Call of Duty players
, by Quentin
Activision recently rolled out an overhaul of its security and application policy for Call of Duty. This revision brings with it an element of great concern to players: Limited Matchmaking.
Because of this new feature, players fear being shadowbanned at any time during the game. As it stands, this would appear to initially restrict interaction with players considered "legitimate", and in some cases even exclude them from the Call of Duty experience altogether.
However, Activision recently unveiled the reasons why shadowbans may be dispensed. Here's the full list:
- Extreme or repeated violations
- Spoofing
- Security bypass
- Cheating/moderation/pirating
- Pirated content
- Unsupported peripheral devices
- Boosting
- Glitching
- Offensive behavior
- Griefing
- Inappropriately obtained DLC
- Reverse engineering of game data
- Malicious reports
