17 years after its launch, the PS3 still has around 2 million monthly players

Launched in November 2006 in Japan (then in March 2007 in Europe), the PlayStation 3 remains a very popular console. This is despite the fact that it has been something of a commercial failure, selling just over 87 million units in its lifetime.

Thanks to an internal document relating to the Insomniac Games leaks, we learn that the PS3 still has several hundred thousand loyal followers. In February 2023, the machine counted 1.9 million monthly players.
