An image of the recently cancelled multiplayer The Last of Us game is making the rounds on the Internet

Naughty Dog has just made official the cancellation of The Last of Us Online, the multiplayer standalone that was due to arrive shortly. The decision was motivated by the studio's desire to refocus on single-player experiences.

For posterity's sake, insider Dusk Golem has posted what appears to be an image from the cancelled title. It shows the main menu with tabs dedicated to the battle pass, the store and the lobby.

A season system was to be introduced, as was a battle royale mode (indicated by the word "BR").
