Epic Games wins its antitrust case against Google

Here's a major victory for the firm responsible for Fortnite. In 2020, Epic Games decided to take Google (and Apple) to court over its commercial practices and alleged monopoly operated through Google Play.
Deliberation took place this week, and Epic won its antitrust case. The court recognized that Google was exercising an illegal monopoly via its online store and billing service.
In a press release, Epic Games refers to "a victory for all app developers and consumers worldwide". However, we can imagine that Google will appeal this decision. The legal battle is not over just yet.
