Thanks to the February update, Xbox consoles will consume less electricity
, by Thibaut
A new system update has just arrived on Microsoft's machines. Among the new features, there are several elements aimed at reducing the console's energy footprint. By default, it will switch to energy-saving mode, which consumes up to 20 times less than the traditional standby mode. The Xbox will also attempt to download updates at times when electricity is mainly supplied by low-carbon sources.
Players can also choose a background with a solid color. Additionally, it is now possible to disable the game image when it is selected from the menu. Finally, the Google Home app can be used to turn the console on or off, navigate menus, record clips, and much more.
