NVIDIA is currently working on the RTX 4090D for the Chinese market, in response to new US regulations
, by Quentin
For several weeks now, the sale of the RTX 4090 has been strictly prohibited in China, following a decision by the United States.
According to the U.S. government, national security is compromised by the performance of this graphics card. They fear that the Chinese government could use it for military purposes.
NVIDIA has therefore decided to design a specific graphics card for the Chinese market, called the 4090D. This new GPU will have lower technical specifications than the standard RTX 4090, but will legally allow this product to be marketed in China.
