Embracer lays off 50 people at Fishlabs, developers of Chorus

The year 2023 seems to be marked by a grim series of layoffs and restructuring in the video game industry.
Unfortunately, this trend seems to be continuing. We've just learned that the Embracer Group is making further redundancies, this time at Fishlabs, the studio behind the game Chorus, affecting 50 employees.
According to Lars Wingefors, CEO of Embracer, there was no alternative. The reason for the layoffs was a lack of approval and funding for a project in development at Fishlabs.
