With the acquisition of Activision, Microsoft is set to overtake Sony in term of revenue

Microsoft may sell fewer consoles than its rival, but the American firm will soon be doing better in terms of revenues generated.

Thanks to its investments in services, PC games and, above all, its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Xbox will soon be in second place in terms of revenues.

Thus, combining the results of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard for the first half of 2023, we reach $10.4 billion in revenues for the group. Sony is at $8 billion. It should be noted that this figure is not official, as the acquisition had not yet been validated for this period.

It does, however, give us a glimpse of the future results of Microsoft's gaming division over the coming six months.
