SEGA's "Super Game" to focus on player-generated content

After briefly hinting at it in early November, SEGA has returned to its "Super Game" project. This title, due to be launched by the end of March 2026, remains highly mysterious for the time being.

During an interview with CNBC, Shuji Utsumi, the Japanese publisher's COO, attempted to explain his company's vision for this extremely ambitious game. We learned that the game will lean slightly towards the metaverse, but without applying all its codes.

It will also rely on its community, with content shaped directly by players, and on "a new way of having fun with games". Presumably, this "Super Game" will be SEGA's response to phenomena such as Fortnite and Roblox.
